Installation Tips
A lot of this was taken from a post by spedmetal and a few other members of these forums.
Necessary Supplies These are tools that are necessary and you will more than likely need to have to complete your install. 1. 15 watt soldering iron 2. 60/40 or 66/44 .25 rosin core solder 3. 22AWG stranded wire for power and ground 4. 30 or 34AWG kynar (or enameled wire what ever your preference try both and see what you like best) wire for everything else 5. Flux either paste or liquid should work fine. To aid in making a clean strong joint 6. Fiberglass pen or presicion screwdriver to scrap laquer off certain points. 7. Wire cutters or finger nail clippers. Nail clippers work great. 8. Electrical tape (black tape) nice to hold down wires. 9. Precision screwdrivers for case screws. 10. Bowl or coffe cup for holding all your screws or parts together. 11. A 2' by 1' board to work on top of. 12. Regular philips head screwdriver. Recommended Supplies Not "necessary" but I highly recommend having these items. 1. De-soldering braid is nice to have around incase you get into some trouble. 2. Tweezers 3. A hot glue gun is not needed always but is nice to tack your wires down when you’re all done. 4. Bananas, yes I said it. The potassium in them will calm your nerves. That way your hands dont shake. Great for first timers. Heck Surgeons use it. 5. Romeo mod tips Ok for now thats all Ive got. Since most chips have their own install diagrams Im assuming people can figure it from there.
