Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - NoDVD Crack

Hi all,
I'm pretty sure that this hasn't been asked before and it isn't against forum rules...but do the cracks work online. I downloaded it and found out that it doesn't have an .exe, so I am to assume that servers only check for valid cd-keys and not valid files?
And if they don't work online, how can I run BlindWrite-backuped CD's without BW being installed? Cuz my other games have BW and I really don't want to go through the hassle of installing another partition. Thanks!

Most no-CD patches that change the main executable don't work online because they're considered "modified content" just like main executable hacked for online cheating (which really, really sucks).

But isn't the main .exe left alone (cnc3.exe)? It's only the .dat file that's changed, so technically it should work right?

Obviously, cnc3.exe is just a loader as it's not changed by the crack. (It is always the important parts that a crack changes and that the game itself must protect, both copy protection- and online hacking-wise.)

Don't; the terminology "no-DVD", in this thread's title, covers both fixed EXE's and mini/max images.

But my BW issues isn't directly related to cnc3, unless you can solve my problem that cnc3 is always detecting BW as an emulator.

With your logic, there should be no game-related discussions on this forum, only those related to (specific versions of) specific copy protections. But it is not so; such a question is too general in the PC Games forum and too specific for the CD/DVD Copy Protections & Utilities forum.

Anyway, for a test, uninstall Blindwrite, install Daemon Tools 4.11, mount the Blindwrite image into it and use YASU 1.3/1.4 hide it. (According to its manual, YASU doesn't seem to support Blindwrite.) Does that work?

Yeah, I tried that a couple of days back, cnc3 still says that there is an emulation device, I even tried to remove Nero's ImageDrive, still with no success.

Uninstall everything you're suspicious of, until the original game runs, without any crack and without any message about a detected emulation software. Then install back what you need but only what you really need. (E.g. Nero ImageDrive is completely unnecessary if you have Daemon Tools. Also, you may want to switch from Blindwrite to Daemon Tools Pro or Alcohol 120% as those two are better suited for copy protected games.)

If still present though BW got uninstalled:
- delete ezplay.sys in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers
- delete registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\ezplay
- search registry for any leftovers of ezplay and delete them

If you're not familar with regediting please make a backup of your registry !

Yeah, that would seem to work, but I can go to online games anyways with the crack, so I won't bother with that right now .
