@pakrat works fine with me on Windows 7 x64
are you sure your file is named autorun.dat and not autorun.msi?

corrected Localized folder now in conversion. As for step 3 and 9 I had to repeat that for consistency so no one will forget and to sum all the steps of DVD2 together

PS:tested on fresh installation of Windows 7 x64 that didn't have Crysis 2 installed before

Corrections Needed:

7- in game install folder, folder gamecrysis2, rename the file "GameData.pak"
to "gamecrysis2GameData_pak" and then compress it to a cab archive named "GameData.cab" with compression MSZIP and move it to folder
CRYSIS_UPDATED\Disc1\gamecrysis2\

GameData.pak NEEDS to be in ROOT of Disc1, not in gamecrysis2 folder

10-copy from game install folder to CRYSIS_UPDATED\Disc2\gamecrysis2\Levels\
the folder "DowntownDX11_Benchmark"
and copy folder "Localized" after deleting all languages other than English from it >>>

You need the other language pak files there but make an empty txt file & rename it to the language pak your replacing. ( Setup expects those files there even if empty )

Installed perfectly with the corrections ive mentioned above to the conversion on page 4

Good job bud

corrections done, thanks pakrat. but i doubt that this will work for any language other than English because I modified only one transform and the msi detects teh system locale and tries to apply corresponding transform so i don't think this is for windows systems other than English. but we will wait and see. thanks for the corrections again

Can you make "EASetup.exe" and "autorun.dat" for polish language version?
When I change in file "localization.ini":

[LOCALES]
en-us=1

to

[LOCALES]
en-us=1
pl=1

then it does not work at all installation.
"GDFBinary.pl.dll" filen won't install too...

if you're only wanting to keep one language, using the first conversion on page 1 will work. Rip out the .pak files for unneeded langs, and then add the 3 big patches/crack to dvd2

EDIT: I also removed the gdfbinary dll's for unneeded langs (these files are registrations for windows games explorer)

Hi could someone give me advice, i have tried to follow this the best i can and end up with a bigger file than the the 1 posted on the 1st page im always about 700mb out of the 4.7gb space on the dvd. I'm confused as some of the steps are not as simple to me.

first off you need to specify which conversion your following, there are multiple listed on page 1. Also list what step your not clear on & will see if we can make it clearer to you. Thats probably why your archive is bigger.

Hi there, apologies for that, it's

CRYSIS 2 DVD9 to 2xDVD5

Multi5: (EN/CZ/IT/PL/RU) Install Sequence: DVD1-DVD2-DVD1

All this is new to me as of today. Are these conversions from the original dvd9 cd or can they be made from downloaded copies?

we dont discuss warez here, if you mean digital download, doesnt matter as long as the version you have matches the game conversion. either from retail dvd9 or digital dvd9 the conversion will work.

Well, turns out my little conversion via removing the lang .pak's and adding the hi-res texture pack doesn't really work for space reasons. So what I'm trying to do is move Objects.pak, ObjectsLS.pak, and Animations.pak (inside the gamecrysis2 folder) over to dvd2, and then put the updates/hires textures/cracks/etc on DVD1.

Editing autorun.dat has been a nightmare though, I've never had so much headache getting 3 files moved over to install as part of the second disc, keeping the install sequence as dvd1-dvd2. Senseman, if you're still reading this topic, would you mind giving me a quick tutorial, since you are the crysis 2 .dat master?

why not use napalmguy's conversion for just that? works perfectly with the hi-res texture pack & DX11 update & patch 1.9.. link here:
