Thanks, but I don't think any of the things you mentioned are the cause of the problem cos I've also tried copying direct from the original CD (using both easy cd creator 5.02 and CloneCD) and have also tried converting the mp3s to wav format before burning them to CD.
I'm definitely creating an audio CD (I've burned hundreds with my old Sony writer and had no probs with them whatsoever regardless if they came from mp3, wav or direct from CD)
My burner is a BTC something or other...just a sec...BTC BCE1610IM (####://www.btcusa.com/product_3.html)
(serves me right for getting a cheap Taiwanese brand???)
