hp cd writer wont read cdrw

It mite sound like a silly reply but .
make sure the software you are using is for
writeing cdrw discs and have you formatted the cdrw disc first before u use it , i had same problem many months ago and had both problems
you usualy find it is no software installed that
supports cdrw or the disc isnt formatted , the
only other thihg i can ask is are you sure your writer is a cdrw writer and not just cdr ,what
software are you using.
