I doubt that it is the chip. It is a more popular chip in the US as not many US machines support the messiah. Could it be possible that the game you are playing is an EA sports game? (Neo 4.1 does not support these). Try booting the game with the same method as the DVD games. Or alternatively boot the game in browser mode directly. If it worked once, it should work again.

Try booting an original game and see what happens.

Boot an original game, and once it loads, swp it with a backup and reset the machine. Leave the tray out when you reset. See what happens.

Sounds like the chip is stuck in PSX mode, if you can take it out of this setting, then you should be OK - more than likely, when you get a backup going - you'll have to do that trick every time (to get it out of PSX mode.)

Who installed the chip for you? They may be your best option here - as I am a messiah chip user not a Neo.

Good Luck!!
