Yes Im sure that is your problem.I have a Japanese psx with a goldfinger and have to boot it with japanese game-Tekken works good-my U.S. psx with a goldfinger I boot with Alien Trilogy.If you have a PAL psx you need to boot with a PAL game,a game with over 20> audio traks will wokk the best.
