Waitstate, I have read what you have read as well!. I've tried doing SD2 (Red Alert 2) with this Plextor and the game didn't play anywhere!. The staff about Plextor doing SD2 does not meet the reality! There are some chipsets made by SANYO which do not allow the Plextor to do SD2. It is NOT a Firmware problem, it's a HARDWARE problem!
