thank you for you reply. Now I can play the ps2 without worrying that my machine will burnout very easily. Yes, the chip is long and skinny (rectangle ship) and has this little orange thing pointing out.
I looked at the no. of connections (wires) and compared it with installation diagram from the origa site and noticed that I have much less wires attached. Also, I have tried a backup copy of pro evolution soccer (pal) and it does not boot up. All USA and JAP PS2 games work fine.
Could the lack of wires solder mean that he has forgot to solder the pal parts?
I had the brough the chip and had it installed for US$48.72, is that a bargain or expensive?
I am planning move the machine alot, how easily will it be for me to knock the wires off the chip? Or will it be safe in my ps2 original blue box?
