couple things need clarification..
"I installed and patched with the 1.36 patch (sc2 enGB 1.36) converted that install " then you say "Just incase I get asked I converted before I patched the original image" so which way did you do the conversion? IF it will not reinstall from original, then when you uninstalled it, it never unintalled properly. Check thru the registry for any entries regarding Blizzard &/or Starcraft.
