Need for Speed(TM) Hot Pursuit 1DVD9 TO 2DVD5 CONVERSION - MULTI-LANGUAGE



Installation Sequence DVD1-DVD2-DVD1
Sequência de instalação DVD1-DVD2-DVD1

1º - Create two temporary folders, DVD1 and DVD2.
2º - extract all contents of the ISO folder dvd1.
3º - check the files in the folder dvd1 have to be these. "Attention to the filings. CAB are only 3.
4 º - Copy back the contents of files to the folder DVD2 but not copy the files data.cab, data2.cab, data6.cab.
5º - The folders should be as listed below.

1º - crie duas pastas temporárias , dvd1 e dvd2 .
2º - extraia todo conteúdo da ISO na pasta dvd1 .
3º - verifique os arquivos da pasta dvd1 terão de ser estes."muita atenção com os arquivos .CAB são apenas 3 .
4º - Copie novamente o conteúdo dos arquivos para a pasta dvd2 porém não copie os arquivos data.cab , data2.cab, data6.cab.
5º - As pastas devem ficar como listada abaixo.

6º - NOW THAT YOU CREATE AN ORGANIZATION FILES FOR ISO DVD WITH EVERY LABEL NO NAME NFSHP_2010 (dvd label)

6º - AGORA QUE VOCÊ JÁ ORGANIZOU OS ARQUIVOS CRIE UMA ISO PARA CADA DVD COM O LABEL NO NOME DE NFSHP_2010 ( dvd label )

7º - Install the game and ignore errors.

If you keep only 1 language the game is still 2 GB+ bigger then a normal DVD5.

@Andrew90: I tried to recompress the cabs with different file structure, but the setup can't recognize my cabinet files It says xy file is not in data3a.cab but it is.

you CANT use winrar on MS Cab files, it changes the md5 checksum. IF you want to replace files within the cab files use WINACE ( which has a built-in MS Cab file structure ) then you can add/replace files within the cabfile.

The order inside the cabs must match the order of the files listed in the table "files" inside the autorun.dat.

Sorry if i resumed up this thread but we discussed here! Anyway i'm able to do a repack with only one language in a DVD5 without resampling any vp6' file.

Delete all language' folders you don't use.
Compressing separately both folder SEACREST and VEHICLES with arc+precomp and then compressing both again with arc in only one file, you get 906MB (instead of, uncompressed, 3,54GB).
Compressing all folders and all data of the folder UI except the folder MOVIES with arc+precomp+arc (again) and you get 190MB (instead of, uncompressed, 460MB).

Now you have all folders and datas uncompressed in the root and two compressed self-extracted files.

I tried with only IT folder for language (italian) and i got a DVD5 with 164MB of free space!
The other language folders are smaller than the italian one, the only bigger (for few MB) is the Russian one.

Now, i'm not able to modify the installer so i don't know if i can do it with inno or if i have to modify the cab original file and replace unnecessary files with dummy one and add the two compressed with arc+precomp.

The main problem is the time you need to compress both SEACREST and VEHICLES folders (my machine took about one hour. However the decompression phase is much faster than this!)

Maybe someone can help me to make a nice installer now?
