Well whether you wire the chip in Stealth mode (7 Wires) or in Normal mode (4 wires plus link) you will still need to remove the metal plate from the PSX motherboard, an 18WATT soldering iron is ok to do this but a bit slow at heating up those large connections, but dont be tempted to use a hotter soldering iron as you may end up burning a track off the board and then you would be in trouble. Dont worry about splashing solder anywhere this dos'nt happen or at least it has'nt happened to me yet.

The 4 wire plus link diagram is available at www.paulmax.eng.net and the best software to use is CDRWin which was written for the purpose. Setting are available on this site www.megagames.com.
