The trouble with most software is that as soon as they hit a scratch (bad sector) they drop out.

Try using Blindread/write it wont bomb out it just keeps nibbling away until the job is done obviously this may take a while, you can also create a bin/cue image so you can burn with CDRwin.

D-Dump also works well with scratched disks.
