If the MDS-file is only of "average" but not of good quality an image sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't which results in error 1000 message. There are also seldom other reasons for error 1000, but i guess it's just coincidence it didn't occur before Patch 2.

After you clicked Ok, don't you also get "Conflict with emulation software detected" message ?
Because afaik all virtual drive versions of DT incl. 4.11.1 are blacklisted.
Latest Alcohol 120% released yesterday doesn't have a newer virtual drive engine ... it even uses an older one than DT 4.11.

Only working method that i know is burning a RMPS copy with Alcohol 120%

i dont know it always worked for me before patch 1
but this is how it worked
double click on the game
then clicking on cloacking several times till the game starts
this always used to work till patch 1

Just use the mdf file from poseden image

btw. I've just read elsewhere it should still work with 4.06 + YASU 1.4, but it doesn't for me

If you want to burn an emulated copy on DVD just create and burn image with Alcohol's 'SecuROM' datatype.
If your drive isn't capable of 'Data Position measurement' just use Poseden's or my MDS file with your selfprovided MDF file before you burn on DVD.
Enable 'RMPS' in Alcohol's or Daemon Tools' emulation settings, insert DVD and play.

it worked

using DT 4.06 and YASU 1.4
with the mds from the link you wrote and the mdf from poseden

this is how it worked
i opened yasu
double click the game
start clicking on cloacking
keep clicking till the game starts

try it and tell me if this is working with me only or it will always work

I got it working with Game Jackal.

1. Create a Profile
2. Choose the CD-Drive
3. Choose "No Default Profile"
4. Name the Profile (e.g. FM08)
5. Look up the .exe
6. Put in the original disc and wait

I also finally managed to get it to work with the new mds, however I still have a problem which I had with the no-cd that often my computer restarts when beginning the 3d match, between the first loading screen and the second. I have updated my drivers, and I really cant work out what the problem is
