It most likely won't work as the firmware that has been modified is built on the firmware for one model only. It would most likely ruin the drive...

They are still kinda easy to find here in europe though, if you care to look around a little...

http://www.hktoyz.com is fairly new and the only method of payment is paypal, but I see the site posted in many places online so it seems as though they are becoming fairly large.
