Even if HL2 was mainly developed for ATI hardware it won't work on nVidia. I've been playing all HL games on my 7800GT without any problems ever.
If a developer would make sure the game only worked on one brand they would loose too much money you know... Recommendation: Test other games, see if problem exist there too Roll back to driver version 84.xx or similar.

It's my failt, my motherboard is hybrid (agp + pci-e) and the pci-e runs 16x cards, but in pci-e 4x mode! I changed my card for a with AGP interface, and it's working nice! ^^ Thanks, and sorry again! XD
