whats wrong with using AnitSecurom? sure you can't use the launcher but it'll do just fine till full fixed exes are released.

Use curerom, thats what I did, my game doesnt crash to desktop, it will ask you to mount the mds or mdf (which you should have created after purchasing the original game if you want to use this method) and it should work
