why do you want to replace your copy? There is no message which says your key is wrong. It only hangs while authing your key which could be the point when your router is not configurred correctly or you have a wrong configured firewall.

Check your windows firewall.
Start > Control Panel > Network connections Right click your network connection you use, goto properties on the popup New window, goto Advanced Tab at the top, settings for the firewall. Turn it off and check to see if it connects. Failing that, check with the publisher or developers website for the game and check the FAQ's they have for online play.

I've just, on the advice of a friend, tried it on a "Cracked Server" where people with cracked copies can play, and it seems to work fine on there, but not on a normal server.......does this mean anything??
