The first auction was from an ebayer named "xbox360liksballs", with 0 feedback. I doubt that he bid on in the auction to actually buy it.

The others are crazy, i agree. People were spending $2000 on just the premium with 3 games. That is like the "super bundle" that gamestop gives with every launch title.

there will always be someone prepared to pay those prices, they have more money than sence but thats it. and ther's always some twat prepared to put the newest technological gadgets straite on the open market for the highest price.

Whew..Oh man! $2k for a Video Game Console? I mean I'm sure me and rest of us got plenty of system or 2 to get by No?
1st generation machines most likely has problems as is and then paying up the A$$ for it..I don't think so..

Look at $ony Machines..Ps1,Ps2..I'll wait till 360 has at least Version 2 or 3 B4 purchasing one..Maybe I"m being paranoid here but I dealt with this several times with Ps1 and Ps2's one too many times..

On day of launch, I seen 15 of them in a store that nobody touched for ages, so I bought em all, and sold em in my shop for a 20% profit i.e. £60 profit.

I don't see how it can be so hard in the states to get an xbox360. Here in sweden I can go into my local gameshop and say "x360 premium now! oh btw give me Condemned, Call of Duty 2 and Kameo aswell... hmm maybe an extra controller too?" and get the response "mkay, you want something to carry it in too?".

So why haven't I done it? Because I am still waiting for Oblivion so when that gets released it is x360 time.

Only about half of the the total xbox's at launch were given to the USA. Which was around 400k...The US probably had more than a million pre-orders. AND that is pre-orders, not includiung people that just buy off the shelves. Most shops were only getting 15 or so total units out of 50-100 pre-orders. That is a lot of disappointed people.

The thing is in a very high demand over here. Even last week people were lined up over night to get one. MS simply didn't make anough units for the country. The only reason I got a hold of one was due to the fact that Costco requires a membership card and I got their very early. Our Gamestop's and EBGames' won't even sell out to the pre-orderer's completely until february.
