I've use Virtual Pc to setup a true win 95b Os but still it failed and give me the message "Failed to initialize the graphic hardware device (3)" as stated earlier on the Xp compatible Os.

Is it not so that Resident Evil requires Voodoo compatible graphics accelerator?
I think it does and that is one reason for not working in Virtual PC. But I think you can get it working if you have an ATi Graphics card, there is an emulator out there that will enable emulation of Voodoo Glide using ATi OpenGL drivers. I can not remember where I found it but take a look at www.guru3d.com or something...

The problem was Virtual Pc. Under the host os it works fine.
Of course I needed to setup the application compatibility wizard to make work my Xp like a 95 for this game but it did. Thks

Glad you got it working then...
 As for Virtual PC I am very unsure if it really is suited for gaming due to predefined hardware setup that uses standard 3d with no real acceleration support and so on. No matter you got it working, now go play instead of post here...

Or use VMWare as it is a great app, supports deep customization by editing the .vmx file...
 On the other hand sourceforge projects are most often very good and free!
