i got some RiData 8x Ritek G05 dye (Blue top) DVD-R's, 50 for £9.50. they work great. only game that seems weird is Second Sight, the loading times are REALLY long. I dont know, it might be the way i burned it, i think i used Nero. Meh, I'm putting everything on my HDD when i find a network adapter for under £20.

I was thinking just to burn the image on a DVD rewritable first instead of a recordable. This way I can test if the PS2 rip isn't corrupted and can I prevent to waste too many DVD-R's. But I've heard only the latest PS2 models can read DVD-RW. It probebely doesn't matter much which brand you use

What you really wanna do it try to decrease the power used by the laser... putting a DVD-RW increases it significantly....

Why dont you just make direct backups? Very few games are DL and require ripping. What burner and software do you have??
