Splinter Cell 3 Solution! Without USB-Drive! WORKS 100%

I think what Kaspa is trying to say, goes something like this:
A [dubious] solution to play backup of SCCT without USB2 drive

He installed SCCT with the original cd, then patched it with 1.2 patch.
He deactivated the ide drives (with SFNightmare), mounted the mini-image from GCW, and tried to start the game using his regular key. He then got a standard Starforce error message.

To resolve the situation, he sent an email to starforce support, describing his entire system and the error message. Actually, I think he is trying to say that we all should do the same. As a result the starforce people sent him a message; advising him to hold down shift key, run the game, and enter some special key. Surprisingly enough; this worked. The game started etc etc, and worked 100%, even though he re-activated the ide drives!

Of course he was rather proud and wanted to share this information with us. Thereby revealing his love for pasting long strings of useless info...

In other words, he claims that the starforce cd check can be bypassed with special keys in stead of the regular cd keys. The bad side is that you have to
ask SF for it...

kaspa: If this works I doubt that the Starforce company that easily would give away keys to everyone who asks, or else their protection would be worthless.

On the other hand; if this works you should give this key to someone you know who owns SCCT also, to check if it is a universial bypass key or if everyone needs a special key.

i tried some ways out with his special serial from the sf supporter, in no way it works for an other system i think. It dont work if u try to enter his special serial after install, also not when u use the bittorent file where u can activate ur scct by urself. It wont work, its especially for his hardware, so no "for all"-solution.

Kakarott: Did he give you the serial, or did you just enter the one he wrote in the forums (if so, that was obviously censored)? And what about that strange bittorrent file? That sounds like a fake to me, I don't think we have a problem activating starforce - we only want to make it bypass some "checks."

In any case; when enough people have asked SF for help, and then posted the answer in this forum, SF will not give away any more keys!

i tried this bt file, i do not really know what it does, but all my actions have the same target, to run this game without original dvd ...

yes, its like that! i feel sorry but my generated key works only on my pc! you have to get a generated key by starforce from them via mail to join the game! :-)
