oceans11 is on a distinguished road
Yes, I was there. Didn't find it either but listen to this. I said I DID get an Indeo R5.1 codec however it was Ligos not Intel. Supposedly there is a difference. While trying to view that AVI I was having problems with I checked installed codecs again & found this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

VIDEO CODEC LIBRARY

ext codec ver. vender location

cvid Cinepak® Codec 1.10.0.11 Radius Inc.; C:\WINDOWS\system32\iccvid.dll
divx DivX® Codec for Windows 5.2.1.1338 DivXNetwork Inc. C:\WINDOWS\system32\DivX.dll
iyuv Intel Indeo(R) Video YUV Codec 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_Microsoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\iyuv_32.dll

m263 Microsoft H.263 ICM Driver 5.1.2600.2180 Microsoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\msh263.drv

mrle Microsoft RLE Compressor 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_Microsoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\msrle32.dll
msvc Microsoft Video 1 Compressor 5.1.2600.0 (xpclientMicrosoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvidc32.dll
tscc TechSmith Screen Capture Codec 2.0.4 TechSmith Corporation; C:\WINDOWS\system32\tsccvid.dll

yuy2 Microsoft UYVY Video Decompressor 5.3.2600.2180 (xpsp_Microsoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\msyuv.dll
yvu9 Toshiba Video Codec 5.1.2600.0 (XPClientMicrosoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\tsbyuv.dll
yvyu Microsoft UYVY Video Decompressor 5.3.2600.2180 (xpsp_Microsoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\msyuv.dll

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Highlighted you'll see the indeo codec listed as the one I need, yet after scanning the AVI it still reports this:

AVIcodec summary of file scan:
File : 95 MB (95 MB), duration: 0:09:01, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 62 %
Video : 84 MB, 1309 Kbps, 9.997 fps, 640*480 (4:3), IV50 = Intel Indeo R5.1, Unsupported
Audio : 11.40 MB, 176 Kbps, 22050 Hz, 1 channels, 0x1 = PCM, Supported

I can't figure this out. It wants a codec that it recognizes as installed. Hmmm. Any ideas?
