Colin McRae 2005 DVD-ULTiMA is running NOW!!!

You have to use the polish patch! But!! Before installing the polish patch, go to the "DATA" directory in colin2005 directory, and copy the "STRINGS" directory to somewhere. Now you can run the polish patch. After that, you have to copy the "STRINGS" dir, that you copied before, to the original place ("DATA" directory), and when you asked, you have to overwrite every file. Run the game now, and it will work, with english language, and no crashes!!!!

So you ask, what is the problem, with the ulitma-dvd version? Well, there is something **** in the font files. So the plish patch changes the fonts to good version. Thats all pals!

I have tried the above method.
Still crashes.

I can get into Career mode and service area fine after Polish patch installs.
However if I then copy the STRINGS folder over and run it, it's in English again but crashes the game at the service area again.

Any other ideas?

PC84 from the isonewz forum post a lang fix that worked.Here's the link:

right click on the link and choose "save target as" and rename the file to
Whole_E.Lng and save it in your Colin McRae Rally 2005\data\Strings folder and click yes to overwrite the file.

Thanks to PC84 and maybe to unknown others that found the fix.

Hi i just downloaded the files and installed it but when i run the cmr5.exe file
it says protection is being fooled and it doesnt run the game it stays on the desktop

Please help
