Well, I don’t know what I should do! I just got the V9 Station and when I hit reset it would power for about 2 seconds with the loud buzzing of the worm gear going nuts then power off. I took the drive cover off and powered it on again to get a good look at what the laser was doing and it worked! All I did was remove the cover, not even the tray. It’s been running Burnout 3 for 20 minutes now with the lid off ( white magnet dropped on the DVD ).
Apparently it had been working fine until they tried to play a CDR based backup then locked up and powered off as it was. I guess I’ll have to play test it for a while with some different media. I hate these flaky V9’s!! |
