if you have access to an electric car buffer, put a small dab of either car polish or toothpaste on the buffer pad and see if you can buff out those scratches. First test the original and see if it loads up ok, then try to back it up once the scratches are out. You may find that the buffer will become your best friend. I have saved a great many games by using this technique and believe me, it works very well. Just a suggestion so you dont have to buy the game again. If it fails, which i doubt it will unless your scratches are super deep, then you will have to either wait to hear from the manufacture or buy it again. I stand by this buffer advice though cause it definitely works great. If you have a big lots near you, you can find a orbital car buffer there for right around $15 or so. My local big lots does carry them so i would hope if you have one locally, you will find one as well if you dont already have one.

If you're looking at the ebay route, then the used Amazon area may interest you.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...games&n=507846 Try using different CD Rom drives at work and at your friends. Some drives can read thru nasty scratches. |
