I think you first have to boot your DC with the Utopia Boot loader CD. Then, put in the gameshark CDX, and last but not least, put in the burnt CDR DC game. That worked for me.
BTW-would you happen to have any codes for Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Jap? I am desperately looking for some codes for it and haven't been able to find any. -Asian_King
