ploblem playing games

ok....theres another problem now.....when Im playin my SW: knights of the old republic game, after a while, the game suddenly start to freeze for a second and unfreeze for like every 5 sec.....this is getting bad...good thing this time is I can get out normally, but the problem is still occuring on the desktop...
