Mixed Audio CD Backups

The thing is there is no fade in and out with a mixed cd its just one contiuous sample cut into seperate audio files whatever ive tried i always get a gap its only about a second but it ruins the music I Suppose i could cut the second out though, any idea of names of software that would do this.
