From what I gather you can install the game fine from the backup.. but... it wont run when you execute the desktop icon.... After installing the game why dont you try downloading the Latest 1.1 Patch & after the update get the Latest 1.1 No CD Crack / Fixed exe & then see if you still have the problem. I'm presuming that you have a English or US version.....
