When you patch your v1.01 copy of Sof II to v1.02, ONLY the SoF2.MP.exe is updated, NOT the SoF2.exe. So if you already have a NoCD applied for v1.01 of the SoF2.exe, the game will still work as it doesn't get updated. If you take a Hex Editor the v1.02 patch and look at the very end of the file, you can see ALL the filenames in the patch, SoF2.exe isn't there
The v1.02 NoCD by gimpsRus is just their v1.01 NoCD with extra ASCII pasted into the exe.
I think this is just a Multiplayer update as the MP has v1.02 in the console.
