Secret Service: In Harms Way

Although I got the following response from the devlopers I would still appreciate any work around that anyone can offer..... other than "disconnecting my modem" .

"I don't think the program is trying to 'secretly connect to the internet.'
It certainly doesn't make much of an effort to be secret about it... The
developers tell us it's because the multiplayer and single-player game both
use the same engine. If it is a security concern they recommend that you
disconnect your modem after the game has started.

That game has been out for a year. If they have not done a patch for it now
I doubt that they are planning one."
