Well I think u have the neo 2.2 chip install..

When booting ps2 games i follow instructions as told.. turn on ps2 with ar2 cart and bootdisk in ps2, then when started click start game, start without codes, then i insert copy and press x..

Well it could be this reason when u press x after u insert the copy game .....u got to be press the x on the right time

I mean press x just as the tray close ..........Give it a try and let us know...............
