i was trying to make a backup of my original warcraft3 cd, after i looked some posts, i used a securom profile on my clonecd to (hopefully, successfully) backup it.
as normal, i first let the clonecd read the original disc and created a cd image on hard disk, then only it will start burn to a cd-r. but the burned backup cd-r copy fail... and there's a cd image (i don't let clonecd delete it after a successful write). i use daemon-tool to emulate that image as v:\ (my daemon-tool cd-rom drive letter), i change the registry war3cd. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III] "War3CD"="V:\\" <--- point to your virtual drive now, i can play without (real, original) cd but with virtual cd (daemon-tool emulated that image). of course this method waste hard disk space... |
