Not all games require Subs, most games don't in fact, as most games are now protected by Safedisk 2 - which has weak unreadable sectors - no subs required for it.
Also, this drive writes in RAW-DAO16, which means it can write subchannel data. Granted it can only read in Raw - which means it can't READ subs, but it can write most. Solution = read from a a different drive that can read subs. [Source: The very same one you used]
