Thanks for all the replies. After trying numerous things, I found that the ISO In question compressed with Mini Compressor never extract properly for me. I’ve since switched over to DiskSpan 2, and every profile I’ve tested works smoothly out of the box.

The main reason I'm digging into this is that I want to truly understand how these configurations and execution pipelines work under the hood so I can build a custom PowerShell script. Ideally, I want a robust batch system that treats each subfolder it finds as an independent job.

As for Mini Compressor, I'm no developer, but despite throwing almost every profile at it (including mxx and various other settings) using a clean, latest-version installation, it simply chokes on the PS3 ISO Afrika (BLUS30399). The extraction failure is always predictable rather than random—depending on the settings used, it breaks at specific offsets, which suggests something underlying in Mini Compressor's toolchain or packaging just doesn't agree with that specific image format.

If anyone has insights into mapping these toolchains into a clean PowerShell batch loop for subfolders, I'd love to hear how you set it up!

Thank you kj911 for your suggestions, I have taken on what you said, and although helpful in my approach in this area, regarding this ISO nothing you suggested worked. But he same ISO went though Diskspan 2 fine. I was hoping i could understand the deep mechanics of the profiles, the ARC.ini and FA.ini and the diskspan2 counterpart also, I tried some things trying to understand and match profiles and it's settings from Diskspan2 to Mini Compressor. However in many ways the two system are quite different to one another, and my very limited skills soon started to be an issue, and i got repeated failed execution from the FA.bat I was running.
