HELP ME PLEASE! - Final Fantasy 9

Ok, now, I tried like a ZILLION times to burn that game, with no success!
I have a PAL PS2, and an NTSC version of Final Fantasy 9! I need to patch the damn game!
I tried a million types of patches, and it doesn't work!
Can someone here P L E A S E tell me what EXACT patch to apply, how to apply it and essentially all the steps to create a WORKING backup of Final Fantasy 9?
