Dead Space (DVD9 to 2x DVD5)

Dead Space (DVD9 to 2xDVD5)

1) Create temp folders

Dead Space
Dead Space2

2) Copy DVD content to 'Dead Space'

3) Download correct ds-autorun.7z for your version and extract it into 'Dead Space', overwrite when asked

ds-autorun-v2.7z Multi6 (English UK/US, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Russian)
ds-autorun-m4-v2.7z Multi4 (English UK/US, Spanish, French)
ds-autorun-m2-defr-v2.7z Multi2 (French, German)
ds-autorun-m2-esit-v2.7z Multi2 (Spanish, Italian)

4) Move 'ch01-ch12' folders from 'Dead Space' to 'Dead Space2'

5) Copy autorun.inf and DS_48.ico from 'Dead Space' to 'Dead Space2'

6) Edit autorun.inf in 'Dead Space2' and change open=AutoRun.exe to open=0

7) Burn or make isos with labels Dead Space and Dead Space2

Install Sequence: DVD1-DVD2-DVD1

Conversion: cdvirus
Modified files: ravd

NOTE: depending which program you use for making your backups, there will be one problem with missing files and that is thumbs.db files
in Support folder which are included in install progress in autorun.dat, some programs doesn't include automatically "hidden system files"
and installer will error about missing thumbs.db if these aren't also in your backup disk.

Don't remove these from autorun.dat or some languages won't work (can't apply transform)

Fix: If using ImgBurn then check these boxes before making iso in Options tab, "Include Hidden Files" and "Include System Files".

If you want to edit autorun.dat yourself, then you find info how to edit embedded mst's in this link (knowledge of using orca is needed)
