Onimusha 3 EU slower than US/JAP?

Hello,
I own the PC version of Onimusha 3.
Cool game
But I also played the PS2 version a long time ago.
The PAL version has an NTSC-PAL-Selector.
I used of course the NTSC mode.

So after all I got the PC version some moths ago.
And I have the feeling it runs slower than the NTSC Onimusha 3 for PS2...
I played Onimusha 1 PC, which is only available in US/JAP (I thought), and it runs faster than Onimusha 3 PC.
Did they really port the PAL mode for the PC, or what?
Does anyone own a US/JAP version of Onimusha 3 PC?
And if there is really a difference, could a mod help to make the EU version faster?
