That´s right, you can change the Language in the Registry.
It´s in:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Capcom/Onimusha3 PC/1.00.000
There it´s a point called Language, and there u can change it to English or German. I have change it from English to German and it works fine

. They talk English and France, but the Subtitles are in German now

. Or English what u want
