Not in the UK you don't. All budget titles such as bustamove etc are released at £19.99 max. Many blockbuster stores here put a standard retail price of £12.99 on these from new.

The same can be said about music, the price of recording the album/video can be drastically different but at the end of the day the more popular ranges will always sell more. The PC takes a lot less time to program for than a Console, with regards to cross console platform prices they're generally the same in the UK.
