Superpower 2 v1.3 mini-image

Has anybody managed to get the 1.3 version of superpower 2 working by mounting a mini image and using the starf**k program to disable their cd drives?
I have not been able to get it running.

Its possible that the 1.3 patch has also installed a newer version of starforce which prohibits the use of a mini image. Would it be possible to edit the 1.3 patch installer so that it installs the game updates without installing the new version of starforce
