The Sims with Expansion Packs - No-CD

I bought the Sims and all these expansion packs, but I have trouble running the game. What happens is, I install the Sims Deluxe Edition, then apply the NoCD and it works fine. However when I add expansion packs, i run the Sims and it comes up with the message "The sims needs to update your game as we have seen u added expansion packs" or something to that effect. Should I try installing the game and then the expansion packs and then applying the NoCD patch?

Also, I bought a new computer recently and want to install the sims and the expansion packs without having to insert all the CD's (its a pain inserting serials for like 5 expansion packs). Would copying the Maxis folder onto a DVD and then pasting this folder on the new computer work?
