Disciples II - Collectors Edition crack slows down my computer

Hi, when I try to download or enter the Disciples II - Coll. Ed. crack on my hd everything slows down to a crawl!
For instance, Opera, (my webbrowser) gets slow and stops responding for 10-15 secs. When I rightclick on the dir and scan it with F-Secure it slows down just as when I enter the dir normally and I don't get a summary of the scan either!

This is the first time this has ever happened with any crack/no-cd patch I've ever downloaded. I had to ask a friend to dl and send it to me and then I had to enter Windows in safe mode to apply the crack/no-cd patch.

The crack/no-cd patch works just as it should though, but I wonder if noone else have gotted this problem and why another crack/no-cd patch wasn't released. There was for instance 3 versions of the Disciples II v.1.41 crack/no-cd patch.
