Reading Gamecube format movie files

Is there any information or tools out yet that talk about converting and/or viewing movie files from a gamecube game?

I have tried a few games and got mixed results

I noticed that the fiel format extension for movie files ends in the same extension as dreamcast movie files, so I tried the dreamcast movie ripper on got mixed results.

On my backup of Sonic Collection the movies ripped fine

On my backup of Fzero-X the movies encoded, but there wasa ****load of artifacts in the movie file.

Anyone know whats up?
