Well the reason you found starforce 3.3 is because the AUS version of X2 does use starforce, The US version on the other hand is SecuROM.
The US version of the patch can easily be obtained from a few bittorrent sites(won't name them due to warez content) EDIT: Fixed something that could have been taken out of context.
