Swap Magic Discs!

I am trying to use Swap Magic Discs (Euro v2) to play my CD-Rom and DVD PS2 backups. However, they do not appear to work! I have used both Clone CD and Alcohol to backup the games. I am using the Swap Magic disc and getting a message saying "Insert Disc", which according to the documentation is correct. However, when I insert the backup and slide the card to the right and then back to the left and then press X on my controller nothing happens. All you can hear is the disc spinning! Any ideas?
