Nero (or NEC 1100) not working

I have been using RecordNow Max on the NEC1100 to make on-the-fly backups for PS2

on-the-fly = bad!!! make an image first, then burn!

Appears that the buffers are not working (???). If that were the case, RNM wouldn't work either, right?

wrong, the buffers are unrelated in terms of software, but ARE related in terms of reserving memory pools etc. if RNM is buffering correctly then its likely to be a problem with Nero, rather than the OS, drive or memory itself.

Are you using a *genuine* registration key? Nero has key blacklists...that's all i'm saying on that.

Try re-installing the program; which revision are you using? Nero 5.5.10.50 was the latest to be released, after that its version 6 (6.0.0.19 is the latest).
Have you run out of space on your hard disk? Have you tried rebooting *lol*, it does work in some instances...
