DVD-R seems to be the more popular choice and reads a lot better in the ps2, however that is not to say that most version 5 to 8 ps2's won't read dvd+r.
DVD-R is just the more tried and tested method and seems to keep everyone that has them happy. Why not get a Sony DRU burner that will do both? Regards.
