I had problems burning Ikaruga with DJ4 also, so I tried using CDI2NERO, and burnt it first time! I think there are compatibility problems with DJ4 and some burners, and I thnk I must be unlucky enough to have one that DJ4 doesn't like!
DJ3 was far more reliable!  It's not just Ikaruga that DJ4 had problems with either!
